On a slightly more positive tone compared to the rest of the album (To Pimp a Butterfly), Kendrick raps about the good that can arise from adversity. The song, and To Pimp a Butterfly as a whole, is a commentary on America's systemic oppression of black people, detailing Kendrick's struggle through his younger years and his rise to fame. His lyrics are highly complex, filled with imagery, symbolism, allusions, and a variety of other devices to fuel his message. Make sure to check Alright and To Pimp A Butterfly out!!!

As an athlete to be pumped up before a big game or practice, you always need those few songs you can definitely rely on. Even if you're just working out this song is great for motivation! It never fails to hype me up and was a great summer jam! However with football season coming up I think we're going to be hearing this song a lot this fall! Go Titans!!

"Hotline Bling"

The 6god was on fire this summer, releasing tracks like Charged Up, Back to Back and Right Hand that sent Toronto (and probably Meek Mill) into a frenzy. This song rises above the others, at least in my opinion. It has one of the most unique and energizing beats I've ever heard and just might be the most catchy song in the world. Autumn is here but this song definitely won't be left behind in the archives of summer 2k15.

This awesome tune by Houndmouth leaves you feeling slightly nostalgic as you listen to it. Their alternative music style almost has a retro rock feel, kind of making you wonder what decade it is. The song is short and sweet, but the small two verses and catchy chorus are just long enough to make you want to listen to it over and over. It's a driving with the windows down kind of song, which was perfect for the summer months. Maybe this song will be taking a backseat this fall, but it definitely won't be forgotten!

An unreleased track by the beautiful Lana Del Rey, Prom Song (Gone Wrong) will make you want to feel the true depths of love at such a young age, craziness, and tragedy. Lana creates a sunshine filled world in your mind, where forever is the goal. With a mixture of synth beats, drums, and the piano, she creates a truly eclectic, everlasting love song.
