The Titans junior boys volleyball team defeated Acton District High School 2-1 Wednesday after school. After losing the first set 25-19, the boys rallied back to win the second and third sets by scores of 25-21 and 15-8 respectively. The stunning comeback was orchestrated mainly by the offensive and defensive efforts of Steven Hospital. Without some devastating spikes and rally-saving bumps executed by Hospital, the Titans would’ve had a tough time staying focused in the game. Co-captain Stephen Szulc also heavily contributed to the cause with two excellent strings of serves which guaranteed the boys at least 4 points each time. The win on home turf moved the boys’ record to 8-1, keeping them locked up in second place only .5 of a game behind Kings Christian Collegiate for first place in the Tier-2 division. Kings made up its game-in-hand this afternoon vs Sainte Trinité but the scores have not been reported yet. For more stats, scores and updates, stay tuned, and as always… Go Titans!
