Our senior boys’ basketball team were triumphant on Wednesday in their opening game against Loyola Hawks, winning 70-45. Loyola had a one point lead at the half, yet Holy Trinity Titans got it together and came back, dominating the second half of the game.

In the first half, there was some struggles with the defensive and offensive efforts. The score was 27 to 26 for Holy Trinity at the half. However, things turned around as the senior boys’ basketball team had an astonishing comeback! In the third quarter, there was an improved effort on defence. This led to some easy baskets off turnover, the offence had improved with more passing, and they ran the plays with determination and persistence. This was undoubtedly a great way to make a comeback and be victorious.

Hopefully, we can expect incredible results from this upcoming season. The senior boys’ team is stacked with a bunch of remarkable players who will continue to impress and succeed in the games to come. Winning the opening game is a fantastic way to kick off the season! Their next game is going to be taking place at Holy Trinity against Jean Vanier on Monday, November 30th, 2015. Make sure to come out and support your fellow Titans!

GO TITANS!
