It was a game of intensity on Tuesday night as both Holy Trinity and Bishop Reding were undefeated champions, battling it out on the court. Unfortunately, Bishop Reding came out on top and defeated Holy Trinity. Despite the loss, our senior boys played with strength, determination, diligence, and integrity. They worked hard and played even harder. They hustled up and down the court like there was no tomorrow. Tuesday night’s game proved that our senior boys were not going to go down without a fight. Now, here is a quick recap from the exciting, intense game that took place on Tuesday night:

The first quarter started off with optimism as our senior boys were focused and conscious of the importance of this game, advancing in the lead with a score of 6-5. Unfortunately, Bishop Reding began to catch up towards the end of the first, tying with Holy Trinity to have a score of 10-10. Thankfully, Ezeoha Santiago (#24) caused the crowd to erupt in cheers as he did a monstrous slam dunk, leading us up the scoreboard with a score of 12-10. This brought us to the end of the first quarter.

The competition in the second quarter was intense and heated as both teams tried to gain the upper hand and get the advantage. Bishop Reding was testing Holy Trinity’s defence and being smart about their passing. This gave them several opportunities of finding the weak spots in the defence and scoring many points. However, this did not stop our senior boys as they stayed on their man and prevented the offence from scoring more points. Also, they communicated more on the court and stayed positive, which was very essential to this game. A special shout out goes to Chris Hankins (#1) and Tarig Elsa (#32) for being the top scorers of the second quarter. By the end of the second quarter, the score was at 22-33.

The senior boys were truly fighting hard in the third and fourth quarter as Bishop Reding received another spectacular slam dunk from none other than Ezeoha Santiago (#24). Not to mention, an amazing three-pointer by Chris Hankins (#1) and an impressive snatch of the ball by Elijah Lostracco (#3). This just showed how hungry our senior boys were for the win and how they never gave up once. They kept fighting from the beginning till the end of this very intense match. The third quarter had ended in 47-43 and the fourth quarter had brought us to the final score of the game: 54-62.

In spite of the loss, our senior boys continue to make us proud with their effort of working and hustling up and down the court each game. Throughout the game, they remain focused and positive, not once giving up or stop trying. We hope that they can come back stronger than ever in their upcoming games. Better luck next time, boys!

GO TITANS!!
