The Holy Trinity’s Boys hockey team has enjoyed a successful 2015/16 campaign so far, with the team sitting comfortably on top the Richardson Division, sporting a 5-0-0 record, and boasting one of the strongest offenses this team, with 32 goals scored all season, and a strong defense effort, only allowing 7 goals.
In recent weeks, the Titan Boys defeated Georgetown by a score of 6-1, highlighted by 2 goal games from both Alex Montague and Kyle Kolwich, with Reed Watson getting the win in net. Trinity then travelled to a tournament in Grimsby, where they dominated, winning all 5 games in convincing fashion and capturing the tournament title with a 2-1 overtime win in the finals.
They returned home to face Craig Kielburger High School, and continued their strong play, capturing another 3-1 win at River Oaks arena. Kolwich, D’Andreis and Wycks provided the offense, with Michael Gironda backstopping Trinity to victory.
They now look to face a tough opponent in undefeated Iroquois Ridge in the final regular season game, looking to cap off a hopeful undefeated season, with the future looking bright for this team.
Captain Eric Hansen on the team’s upcoming matchup: “Boys wanna go into the Christmas break with a good vibe, pumped for the biggest game of the season, made a few changes to the lineup and we’re feeling good so far.”
Trinity faces off against IRHS on Thursday, December 16th, at Joshua Creek Arena, for first place in the division.
